195/50/15 on a mk3 golf VR6 BBS rim ?

my vr6 has the stock bbs rims with 205/50/15 tyres on it, what i need to know is will a 195/50/15 tyre fit on these rims as the 205/50/15 are hard to find or are double the price per tyre. I think the standard bbs rims are 15x6.5 but im not sure as the tyre placard is faded on my ride. Any help is appreciated thanks
