I have a 1947 Willys Jeep that I have just restored and recently just drove. In low range I can take off from first gear without a problem and continue through second to third. However, in high range it almost stalls when in first gear. I can't get out of first without stalling it. Can I switch from low range to high range while in motion? If I tried this would it in any way damage the transmission?
