Yeah guy help on tire, my stock tires of 848 is about to go, got 5599 mile. I'm planning to changes it to a bigger size 190 so I get more traction and looks. would this fit without touching the swing arm or the chain? thinking of Brigdestone BT-003 or Diablo supercorsa OEM replacement? thanks

I'm planning on just going with an aftermetket Dragon Supercorsa to replace the OEM ones. I've heard the aftermarket ones are even stickier and I've been pretty impressed with the stock ones. I can't comment on the different sizes.

and wow, I have 3x15x miles and will need a new rear soon! How did you get 5,600 lol!

Get a 180, it's what your bike was designed for. A 190 with compromise your lean angle and "ease-ability" in turn in. Not that you'll notice if you're getting almost 6K out of a set of tires.

Can you take a picture of your stock rear tire and post it?

Yup, what Lukeeye said, your rim is not as wide as on the 10 or 1198, so going to a 190 aspect ratio without changing to a larger rim size is going to seriously fuck up the way your bike was designed to handle. Don't let that rear tire size become a compensation!

Dont do the 190, I did and regretted it. The tire fits, but since the rim is smaller it forces the sidewall inward and distorts the tread. That made it wear really fast in the center and it still looked like a 180 from the rear. The bike turned funny too due to the shape of the tire. Wasted money IMHO.

I've run a 190 on my 848 since the stock Pirelli screwed the pooch. Didn't notice any difference in turn in but it could be due to going from Pirelli to Michelin. No problems with rub or anything like that. It fits the 5.5" rim fine.
