I'm 19 years old, and last night I experienced somewhat severe pain in my left arm. It seemed like it started just above my elbow, then worked it's way up to my shoulder. It did not hurt when I put pressure on my arm though. The feeling was difficult to describe. When I would move it, it started to hurt just slightly, and my arm felt very heavy. My mom told me to take 2 Motrin and see if it helps. After about 10-15 minutes, the pain started to fade away. This morning, it feels fine. I am still concerned on why this has occurred though. My mother told me possible explanations like, muscle spasm, or poor circulation in the arm. I was not doing any physical activity on my arm at all that day, nor did I lay on it wrong. If I had to rate the pain on a scale from 1-10, I would say it was about 6 or a 7.
