I have a friend that is 18 and has applied for financial aid for school this fall. His Dad refuses to fill out tax info on FAFSA for him to apply for aid. I have seen the list that would qualify him to become independent, but none apply. Also the school does not have anything in place to help with this either. They suggested getting it into court, after contacting an attorney he is not sure how to do this either. I'm sure this is not an isolated case. Anybody have any suggestions that may help?
