I have been wanting a bike for a little over a year now, my parents seemed supportive as I had talked about bikes many times before and getting a license and stuff and they never said anything about it. The time has come that I want to get a bike and a license and I then received a nice little "Hell no!". My parents have a tendency to be overbearing when it comes to anything involving danger such as not letting me sign my enlistment contract for the Marine Corps (After 7 years of talking about it and 5 of lifting, running and preparing with things like memorizing Close Order Drill and the 11 general orders). They can not think past the danger, for instance not signing the contract forcing me to go to boot camp less prepared and making me have to spend an extra year in inactive reserve. Anyone have any ideas? I am tired of the losses, I could really use a win on something.
17 years old parents wont let me get a bike. Can anyone help me out here?
