I am curious if this is normal. My son who is about to be 17 months in a few days barely speaks! All the words he says are Dada, Duck, and rarely, Mama. Thats it. Sometimes when i ask him questions, the answers he gives me are like grunting noises. They aren't words, just grunts. Is this normal? When should i expect him to say some simple words?
