17 days sober

;) It took him going to the hospital and finding out his liver was failing for him to wake up and get on librium (from the doctor) to help with the cravings. I wouldn't have even got him there if someone hadn't called the police, he went into a convultion while they were here and had me take him in. Well those of you who had read and helped me through the problems I was having with my boyfriend, I wanted to tell you thanks. So far not only has he stayed sober through the holiday, but he's seeking therapy. We are happier in many ways. The nuraber one thing I have to remeraber is he's in need of support and the more I get on him about the little things the closer he gets to relaps. So, in short we are both doing much better. I have my fingers crossed that things will be ok...Thanks again Tabby.
 
That is great that he is 17 days sober.. Good for him.. However, I am going to be really honest with you.... and I hope you don't take it the wrong way but you are not the one who should be walking on egg shells about him relapsing.. HE is in control of that and should not be able to be tip toed around OR ELSE he may relapse.. That is not fair to you.... Think about it. Even in his sobriety it seems he has a way of controlling you... I only say that because I have been controlled.

I just hope you are hanging in there and I want you to stick around.. I really hope this works out for him but it's not YOUR job to keep him sober.. It's HIS. Please don't forget that.
