I have a recently cycled 16 gallon bow front tank. It cycled for 10 days and has now had some fish in it for the past 4 days. Its currently housing 4 half-inch dwarf platys, 1 neon tetra, 2 black neon tetras, and one sunburst platy, who popped out some babies the day I bought her, and then ate them all. I am kind of getting bored. With these fish, all they do is hide, but it is probably because they have a wall to wall coral ornament with plenty of caves and holes to hide in. I am thinking about going a different direction with the tank. I want to get as many fish as I can, but don't want it to be overcrowded whatsoever. I was seeing if anyone had any ideas on some cool fish that would look good in my tank and that wouldn't hide all day. I know the size of my tank limits me but I'm sure that there is something cool I can get. Does anyone have any ideas. Please only reccommend readily available fish nothing rare I will never be able to find. I have a few tropical fish stores in my area,.

yeah 16 gallons kind of limits you. I think cichlids are the most interesting fish but most will outgrow 16g. Ram cichlids stay pretty small max of 2 1/2 inches or so and should be very active and interesting! Most fish stores have these or are willing to get them, they aren't rare fish.
