Somehow...I see this ticking off ALOT of people lol, limited to the Pearl only and NO upgrade to the current existing plans pfft....aside from that the fine print indicates this is part of the Blackberry Internet Service, which on their website is described as..

Introducing the Personal E-mail on BlackBerry

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~just at Rogers and the 15 dollar plan. Its a handcuffed plan. You have pin and email. No data. Pay per use for data when opening webpages. BlackBerry maps doesn't work.
Went with the 4 mb plan so you can use some data.

This plan does NOT include web browsing... it uses BIS, but locks out certain features. This is the proper description for the plan (not what was listed above)...

Personal Email on BlackBerry is an introductory email plan only available on BlackBerry Pearl.

For $15 per month, Personal Email on BlackBerry provides you with the following:

Thanks for the more info there krissy101. Yeah it is a really disabled BlackBerry plan. But great for an intro plan.

I NEVER posted what the plan included, try reading the post again, I posted the discepancies in the plan basically explaining as to WHY it sucks and why ppl should be ticked off with it (mainly those paying anything over $25 for a data plan such as I $75/7MB,new customers it's great as long as you don't want to browse web ) , as soon as I get some more reviews on the plan i'll be calling customer relations...the advertising and BIS description goes against what they have described as BIS services on their site, I'm not going to try an explain it again as it's all in the first post and if ya didn't get it once, ya probably wont get it a second time (I have the same problem lol).. and the page that shows the $15 plan wasn't there when I posted above..but the fine print clearly shows it uses BIS, which like I said goes against their description of BIS (which is posted above).

while this is a step for Rogers in the right direction, they have miles to go yet

The fine print on the add states "The $15 BlackBerry Pearl Unlimited E-mail Plan is available for BlackBerry Internet Service only and includes unlimited email when using the BlackBerry Pearl on the Rogers network."

Basically stating that it is not available on BES. I don't see anywhere where Rogers is making the claim that you are entitled to all the features of BIS (Just because it uses BIS to deliver the service, doesn't mean your going to get all the BIS features), so I fail to see the discepancies you mention. I think they make it very clear what they offer and what you're getting. If you want a discepancy, it could be with the ad saying unlimited instant messaging, only the website states that its blackberry messenger, eventhough the blackberry comes with other IM programs.

$75 for 7mb seems steep, is that a voice and email for $75?

it's all in the interpretation I guess Krissy, mine seems to vary from yours in their way of the description, which is great I love to see peoples different views on it, so far I have seen both interpretations being presented on numerous forums I frequent, and yes that is a voice plan as well,
