...Remuneration for individual directors are not disclosed on 5 French company annual reports for year 2006, why? I have started on another university assignment (they keep on coming in) and I need to gather information from 5 different companies, from 3 different countries, namely UK (FSTE 100) Germany (DAX 30) and France (CAC 40), altogether 15 companies.

I have managed to find remuneration reports or directors salaries for all those on the Boards from both the UK and German companies. It’s all there on their annual reports. But all 5 companies from those listed in CAC 40 do not have this information, it unbelievably frustrating and irritating. One annual report (Carrefour) makes a reference for this info to the "remuneration report", but I can't locate that report anywhere, not on their website or anywhere else. I have extensively searched for this information from all their company websites but nothing is found.

Have the French companies intentionally left this info out?

Here are my French companies I chose for this report.

Carrefour, France Telecom, Total, Vinci plc and Sanofi-Aventis.
Have the French companies intentionally left this info out? I know that some of those French companies float their company on the US market, and the Sarbanes Oxley Act enforces their disclosure, but does French law allow companies an option to withhold this info?

I just need to know the answer to that final question, if you can and direct me to all 5 remuneration report that would be even better, but I’d doubt that would be a possibility.

Thank you very much.

Ps. To those just simply wanting to earn a few extra points by simply stating answers like “maybe” or “I don’t know” don’t bother on this one.
