125 CBR Honda motorcycle?

I just purchased my 125 CBR honda. The dealer told me the first service is 430 dollars. WOW< I have a wave 125 in the philippines and did not do the first valve adjustment until 4000 km but this bike they are recommending 1000 kilo, Is the valve adj necessary at 1000 km??
 
All they do is tighten them and do an overall check of the bike. The first 500 miles is the breaking in period. Thats when you get the service for the valves done. after that service it is every 4000 miles after that.
