11,000$ for a bike? are you serious?

i just went to my local bike shop to get my bike repaired and one of the bike engineer told me 1,000$ is nothing for a bike and i asked well how much does lance armstrongs bike cost, he told me about 11,000, does it come gold plated as well? Geez man i though paying more than 200 dollars for a bike is expensive, why would lance's bike cost 11,000$!!!!!????
 
there is alot of engineering that goes into it so that it is perfect, and think of all the parts, wheels are a grand, and so is just about every other piece on the bike. and to make one mold for a carbon fiber frame is a lot of money.
