1098R or Desmosedici

hey guys...I need some help making a decision here and would greatly appreciate your input. Especially from Desmo owners. Thank you in advance. I currenty own a 1098R and have a great deal on the table to trade up to a Desmo. Just wonder if I should pull the trigger. What should I look for? Is it really worth the extra coins? Can I live with it and ride it everyday on the road fairly easily compared to the 1098R? How does it ride and feel compare to the 1098R? Or should I just keep my 1098R ? Thank you.

Redduck,

Did you get to ride the D16RR? I would if possible before making this decision.

What are you going to do with the 1098R is you get the D16RR?

I have really wanted the D16RR but just not the right time to buy one right now.

Mmmmm thats a tough one believe it or not.. Naturally I would want the Desmo over all else, but some owners have had major headaches and what sounds like non consistent factory support. Or it could be their particular dealer.. Why not have both.. R for your daily rider, Desmo for those special rides. lets be realistic, the R is a financial pimple towards the cost of a Desmo. If you "have" to trade in the R to make the deal.. Maybe you should be re-thinking this..

I plan on trading in my 1098R, can't afford both. There are just some really good deals out there. Hard to pass up the opportunity to own a Desmo.

the d16rr is ugly lets face it. Despite that it is still badass. If you want something with that much power get it. If you want a more enjoyable ride I'd stick with the 1098r, plus it is a gorgeous bike. I'd be afraid of dumping a desmo. Plus in another 10 years it will depreciate so much it won't be worth it and it will still be ugly. Wait a few more years and it will drop another 25K. If your going to dump that much in a bike get a MV F4cc that thing at least looks the price.
