A prehistoric epic that follows a young mammoth hunter's journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe.
This is an ok daft film strictly for young kiRAB .....for everyone else its totally rubbish ...

I wish they I had stuck on the old good films ...
One Million Years B.C.,
Raquel Welch ..lovely

or When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth
even fitter Victoria Vetri ...

3/10 ...honestly dont waste your money ;)

Yeah I was looking forward to this until Jonathon Ross warned that it's probably aimed at 12-14 year olRAB. Put me right off.

I liked the Spear tooth hoped it would come along as one of the gang ,lol I was laughing so much at this time ...:)
The old girl was in EE as Blossam, Lou Beales mate ,lol ...how sad are you ??
an me more so for remembering her name lol

Its dire wished I had seen The Cottage ..instead .. :)

I think he said 10-12 year olRAB, and yes, that put me right off it too. If you want something similar, but aimed squarely at adults (and in Subtitles), i highly recommend 'Apocalypto'.

I hope that was sarcasm, lol. The Cottage looks dire.

Not seen it yet, will wait for the DVD.

As I'm 50 years old but as my wife says "50 going on 5 " this film should suit me fine.

Would have prefered no dialog or subtitles though.

I'm really surprised anyone thought this would be good.

The clues are all in the trailer!

"From the Director of..." = This movie is bad so we'll claim goodness by association
No dialogue or plot clues = There is no plot
Flashy CGI graphics = There is no plot, but look at this shiny coin

Exactly my thoughts. I have not been to watch this, and am glad that I didn't.

I saw the trailer for it, and saw nothing that told me about the plot, or what the movie was about.

I just saw a chaotic trailer.

However, I was being told by frienRAB and family how great the movie looked.

Saw this last night, and I thought it was pretty good.
Similar to Lord of the Rings in epic-ness, but not quite to the same scale.
CGI was very nice, the acting wasn't noticably bad and whilst the plot was thin, it was acceptable.
I'd give it a 7/10 - but I was thinking whilst watching it, that if this film had been made a 15 or even an 18, it could set up some awesome battles.

When I saw some of the above comments I thought that the grandkiRAB wouldn't like it, however we all thought that it was EXCELLENT.

I'm not going to get into discussions about what other people thought, I'm just saying How good I thought it was!!

I agree with the last two posters. It wasn't earth shatteringly great but it was good fun and pretty exciting, the set pieces were excellent, the plot was very straight forward and direct and teh CGI was pretty good.

It was never going to be high art but it was an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

Definatly aimed at adults and yes a fantastic movie, didnt think id like it but i loved it.

Tribesmen/mammoths/caves how exciting do people expect this film to be lol i still think it will be fairly decent though. :D

watched this today and i have to say its quite a decent film, i dont see why everyone is bad mouthing it so much,
i have some some really dire films (black sheep springs to mind) and some truly excellent films
this one falls squarly in the middle plot is a bit thin on the ground and yes they do seem to be set nowhere specific geographically and if you take the historical innacuracys out of the equation you will enjoy it as it is highly entertaining i got sucked into it and the time just flew by

I was made to watch this by Mr H - and was surprised, I quite liked it - like the other posters have said, this is not a 'great' movie - but it is not 'bad' either - worth renting/acquiring from blockbuster/lovefilm
