09 Subaru Forester XT Limited vs. 08 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring?

I am car shopping. I can get a new CX-9 Grand Touring for around $27k and a new 09 Forester XT Limited for around the same or slightly less. I know the reduction on the 08 CX-9 is a lot more than the Forester. But, I wonder which is the better car?
 
two very different vehicles. Forester is a compact SUV, CX-9 is a full-size SUV. CX-9 if you need lots of space, comfort, and head-turning ability. Forester is a very well-built machine, but Subaru's aren't very well known for comfort, or styling. Mazda is more of an all-around vehicle. Subaru engines are built to be abused, but Mazda's still last for a long time with no major repairs for as long as you maintain it properly, and don't drive like a maniac everyday.

Also, consider the size difference of these two vehicles' engines - you'll be making stopovers a lot more often in a CX-9.
 
Two nice transportation devices. The forester has an extra seat, very nice inside, but the mazda is very cool looking. Forsester is an SUV mazda is a crossover. All subaru's are so much more reliable then mazda, esplicaly with engines. The mazda (on many models) have had problems with theirs, but subarus are very nice inside and last very long and are good cars and suv's, in my opinion go with a subaru. Good luck:)
