I have a 2008 Chrysler Sebring. A few months ago the instrument cluster lights slowly started to get dimmer and eventually stopped working completely. The emergency lights and odometer are working fine it is just the back light on the cluster that is not working. A new cluster could cost me as much as $400 and I am not even sure if that is the problem. Someone mentioned the switch but all other functions on the switch seem to be working fine. Any advice might be helpful.
Yeah, I know about the dimmer. I have read forums all over the web and called a few garages and the dimmer is the only possible solution the people seem to have. Unfortunately that is not the problem. Many sebring owners all the way back to 2001 seem to be having this problem. When I talk to Chrysler they act as if I am the first.
