My girlfriend has the car and took it to wal-mart and had the oil changed when it was needed(by miles not by the maintenance required light coming on). There was an issue with them,the car and changing the oil. They over filled it,had to drain it and refill it again with the right amount. I wasn't there,I don't know and my girl doesn't know too much about cars so she let it go and thought it was fine. On her way home the maintenance required light came on and hasn't gone off in 2 weeks. I checked everything(all the fluids)and nothing was wrong. So I was wondering if the light needed to be reset or if it's something she needs to be checked? If you think the light just needs to be reset,how do I do that(she lost the book that came with the car so I don't have that)?
And she has already taken it for the recall repairs,that was 2 months ago.
