we bought an (automatic) 4wd 06 jeep commander about 4 months ago, and have been having transmission problems ever since we've bought it. the code comes up for the transmission control module and electronic shift module. its not shiftting right, and sometimes not at all.i've taken it in several times with no resolve. i have also talked to the dealer that sold it to us several times. it is JUST out of warranty, only has 37k miles on it. i have a V6 model. the 06 commander with V8 got recalled for the same problems, but the V6 has no recalls. so this car is basically a lemon, but being stationed (army)in louisiana, this state does not have lemon laws for used vehicles. (only new) i would open a case with the attorney general, but we are changing duty stations in a month and a half. (which we will be driving up to NY and its really not safe for us and our baby)
so my question is, anyone else own one that has the same problems with the TCM, and what should i do about it?
