I have a 2005 Mazda Tribute V6 All Wheel Drive truck. When I put the truck into drive from park I hear and slightly feel a "Crunch". I also get this if the truck is drifting to a stop, say at a red light, and then I give it gas to take off before the truck stops. This may also occur if I am sitting still and take off from a stop.
The truck shifts just fine into any other gear. I dont get any other noticeable issues like winding up of gears and not moving or anything. As well I have checked the Transmission Fluid which is at a good level and a clear / redish color which seems normal. I dont notice any burning smells or anything else.
I was told this could possibly be the "Clutch Slave", "Throw-out Bearing" or "Synchronizers". Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I don't really have a ton of money to put the truck into a transmission shop for diagnosis at the moment.
Thanks in advance
