05 Chevy Trailblazer power steering pump?

Why is the power steering pump getting a little louder everyday? When i first got the truck it didn't hardly have any whining noise but now it sounds like it is getting louder by the day? What can i do to fix this? I know a little about cars. I checked the fluid it is fine. Just the pump is whining still. thanks in advance
