Like it says, this problem started a week or two ago and basically besides the above mentioned, my car seems to run fine.
To elaborate:
-There's a smell that lingers in my car, I sniffed around and it SEEMS like it's coming from the rear end. Like a mix of gas and exhaust or something.
-It always takes two tries to start my car unless I've driven it within the last hour or two. So if I leave my car alone, off, for say around 3-4 hours at the least it always takes two tries to start it. On occasion even 3. It'll start up like half way and sputter and then die. Then I turn the key again and the engine kicks on.
-Finally I've noticed a significant drop in gas mileage. I'm talking anywhere from 5-10 mpg when normally I used to get around 15-20.
I was wondering if anyone knew what my problem was and how much it would roughly cost to fix? I'm seriously strapped for cash and I'm afraid of what the repairs (let alone the diagnostics cost) is gonna run me. But at the rate my car's been eating gas, I need this to stop.
