03 toyota camry battery issue?

i'll start from the beginning. i have an '03 toyota camry 4cyl. 3 months ago, the car wouldn't start. i suspected the battery.(it was a valucraft, cheap battery). jumped it to get me by. worked for 2 months straight, no problem. until it did the same thing. jumped it again... no problems until it happened once more 2 weeks after that(2 weeks ago).

i swapped out the battery with a high cranking amp optima agm battery that i have for my race car... as suspected, it started right up, perfect performance. but it only lasted a week. you see my dilemma. strong battery, SAME PROBLEM..

i figured, because the optima was race application that it might of not of had a full charge. i had enough. i decided that the most reasonable answer was that my alternator was dying slowly. realizing the trend of sharp decreases of battery life. i went down to my local parts store, bought a brand spankin new duralast gold battery and had them do a charging system test. the alternator has good diodes, 14.01v regulator, and puts out 71.6 amps... a.k.a. it was fine...

i don't know where to turn to next. i can't figure this out on my own. any suggestions or leads? all is appreciated. thanks in advance
