I can't tell what's wrong with my car. I'm going to give a list of all the problems I've been having lately.
1. Passlock issue, sometimes my car won't start and i'll have to wait 10 mins to do so.
2. Heater does not work.
3. Hard to turn my steering wheel. I was hearing a bubbling sound behind the steering wheel, so i checked the fluid and it was low. I added some ps fluid and the bubbling sound stopped and was replaced with a squealing sound from the belt area.
4. I'm missing the bleeding valve for my coolant system. I have no idea where to one, i've gone to misc junkyards and all the 02 grand ams have been stripped clean.. and there aren't any GM dealers in my area.
5. Had trouble accelerating. My car doesn't...GO..or take off like it used to when I give it gas. I'd press the pedal and I'd hear a loud whining noise coming from the engine and the car would not accelerate. I popped the hood and noticed one of the pulleys on my tensioner belt is not spinning. I'm not even sure if ALL of them are supposed to spin. It's the pulley to the lower right of the alternator.
That pretty much sums it up. My car has about 150k miles on it and I have no idea if the routine maintenance was done by the previous owner. I'm planning on replacing the water pump, power steering pump, the tensioner, the belt, the pulleys, getting a tune up and all that other shit just to be safe. What I need are some suggestions that would get my car in decent/safe running order to get my ass to work and back (40 miles round trip) I've asked questions in the past and haven't really gotten much help due to lack of information on my part. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thx in advance guys/gals.
