02/03 V6L Honda Accord Engine Check Light Help?

My 02/03 V6L Accord (Auto) Engine Check Light comes on when I start in the morning. I can drive it on 2nd gear and manually move it to D3. It will not drive on D4. After driving for 5 to 8 Km, if I turn the engine off and on again, the light goes off. Everything is now back to normal.
My mechanic used the computer to run diagnostics and it says the PCM needs to be replaced. DOes anyone have any experience with such a problem and any suggested fixes (besides replacing the PCM)
Does anyone know where I may buy a second hand PCM. The part number is 37820-P8C-Q52. Thanks
 
1 get 2nd opinion..id go to honda even if the test cost you 100 dollars
2 ecu/pcm seldome go bad
3 look online yahoo/google rebuilt ecu. they cost 300 to 500 not the thousands the dealer gets..
