01 Jeep Cherokee leaking red fluid?

I have an 01 jeep cherokee 4wd automatic. It is leaking a small amount of red fluid on the drivers side in the front. From what I have read it seems like a transmission leak...great. Now I am wondering if I can keep driving it until I have time to get it fixed or if this is an urgent fix. Also, how much should this cost to fix? I will have to take it somewhere as I know nothing about cars
