i have an 01 taurus that sat in a driveway for 2 yrs without being touched.before it was parked,everything worked fine.besides having a dead battery(which a new one was put in)the car still runs great.but all the power windows and the directionals wouldn't work.so i checked the fuses and they were all good.i pulled off the drivers door panel and tested for voltage and the power window switch did have voltage.and the relay for it did make a clicking noise.but i also noticed the the dome light would blink on and off when i pushed the drivers front window button up or down.so i bypassed the window switch with a jumper and every window went up and down with no problem.so i got a new switch and replaced the relay/s.still everything acts the same.also the directionals still don't work.can you help me please?p.s. i am a mechanic but never ran into this problem before and would appreciate the help.thanks.
