01 Ford Mustang Won't Shift?

i have a 01 ford mustang v6 auto. it won't shift its stuck on park the only way i can shift it is when i start the car turn it off and put in on neutral then i can drive it but the brake lights is not working when i step on the brakes. a couple of days ago i remembered my ABS light turned on and whenever i restart the it'll go away it happened twice. also i think my back breaks are bad too. thanks for any suggestions or advice
 
there is a switch under your dash somewhere that is connected to your brake and when your brake is pushed it lets u shift out of park. when your car is off the switch does not get used. im sure that your brake lights are probably opperated by the same switch
