0% Financing, GM / Pontiac Line, Need a new vehicle...what do you think...?

So, I am basically waiting for my job to start which may be sometime in the next few weeks. When this happens, it was my intention to hurry up and get myself approved for the 0% financing...before April 31st. Time is now running out and unless something happens in the next couple of days, I will almost be forced to carry my new vehicle purchase in the May. The problem would then be "will 0% financing be over?" The 0% is ultimately a make or break for me and it's very important. This incentive has been around for a little longer than normal at this point. I could see them keeping it going to move more vehicles. I could also see them stamping that out due to cost and economy.

Since I've decided that my next vehicle is a Pontiac Torrent (a competitor of the Saturn Vue and close relative of the Chevy Equinox), this raises a few other thoughts. What happens if GM goes down the gutter? What if they stay afloat and axe the Pontiac line? What do you suppose will happen to my situation with the Torrent?

So in summary:

1) What do you suppose is likely to happen with regards to the 0% financing? What would you suggest I do?

2) What if GM goes down the gutter? What if one of several options happen to the Pontiac brand? What do you suppose I should bank on happening?

Should I be making more of an effort to secure the Torrent when I really shouldn't or do you think I should be in no rush and that I will be able to get the same deal later (within a month or two)?

I hope you KNOW that 0 % financing is only handed out to people with VERY good credit, AND it is usually only for 36mo., so the pmts are VERY high.

GM is getting ready to declare bankruptcy, which is what they knew all along they were going to do after getting their "piece-o-the-pie".
They will still be in business, but they can "restructure" and dump the union contracts, which may allow them to get back into the black.

I suspect the 0% loans will be around for quite a while.
