    They might, but the problem with taking pictures like that is that it takes a long time to take those kinds of pictures of very faint and far away objects, and ties up the telescope and it can't do other science during that time.     They never did. There's no evidence that they did, and it's been proven that the technology of the time was sufficient to produce all the "wonders" of the ancient world, without any super-people to help. Yes, even the pyramids.
