    2003 toyota tundra transmission oil pan replacement?

    my dad just took in his 2003 toyota tundra in for a transmission oil filter change,but the dealer also changed the pan that covers the filter.The dealer also charged an extra $60 for the pan.my question is is this really necessary? Thanks
