    pokemon white version gym leader?

    ive recently started pokemon white and in route 2 town im supposed to battle a gym leader, a guy at the gym keeps saying he isnt here (the gym) go and search for him in the town, but ive spoke to everyone in the town and cant find him. any ideas in where he/she is or could be?
