    Connect the PS3 with the old-style red, white, and yellow cables. That way you can see the menus to change the resolution. Make sure the resolution is set to something your TV can display, such as 720p or 1080p, then switch back to the HDMI cable. Hope this helps. http://www.tvasap.com
