    Pontiac 3.1L engine into 3.8?

    I own a 2000 Grand Prix GT, and the engine recently caught fire. Since I can't afford to buy another used car, I was wondering if I could buy a used Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1L engine and use it to replace my faulty 3.8L engine? Would this swap work? Thanks!
