    Why is it illegal in many places to sleep in your car?

    I don't know why anyone would care where you parked your car to catch some Zs. It's your car so why does it matter? The only possible things I could think of is if you're on property that you're not supposed to be on and for safety reasons. Am I missing something?

    How much time would it take for my car to run out of gas while sitting still?

    I have a 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 S and it has a 12 gallon gas tank. I want to see if it can stay alive if I were to sleep in it for a night. Not yet have I had to do this but I might one day. Please help.
