    Is a Samsung hard disk compatible with HP Pavilion DV5000?

    I need to replace my HP dv5000 laptop's hard disk and the only available model i saw in the market is that of Samsung. I'm wondering if I can use Samsung IDE hard disk with my HP dv5000. After all, my laptop's default hard disk connection is IDE.
