i am on a vodafone contract and want to cancel it, but to be able to cancel it, i need to find out my account name, how can i do this please?

I pay my contract on the 18th of each month, but my 300 minutes and unlimited texts start on the 1st of each month, what can i do so they both start on the same day? Because if i have used my 300 minutes by the 18th of each month, i am charged for the minutes i then use, but surely i am paying...
