    During the Civil War, if a soldier had a disease, would they still have to fight?

    In the Civil War, If a soldier had a disease (Such as chickenpox, smallpox,scarlet fever, measles, mumps, and whooping cough), would they still have to fight in battle? Thanks in advance!! :)
