    There have been updated versions; however, anything that refers to the infallible articles of faith or other infallible pronouncements can never be changed. Any such change in these areas would prove both the Catholic Church and scripture as false.

    You could try "The Imitation of Christ" by Thomas A Kempis. However, it is probably designed mostly for priests, nuns and other Catholic religious orders. The Catholic catechism is really a must for the most accurate information about the faith. And it can be found herein on the Internet.

    Scripture verse about a promised savior?

    Hoping someone has this info; especially, from the Old Testament. The closest I find is in NT for Acts 13:23. Thank you.
