since you dont have cellular data, the GPS lock is going to take a while. you should just enable aGPS for a few times, it will only cost you 4 or 5kb of data, and you can see how fast the lock will be; about 10 seconds for 7 satellites. then you can turn it back off if you want.

I've want to encode in H.264. MP4 container for this encoder isn't working for me on the phone or MPC. It works on VLC. The AVI container for that encoder will work on MPC but not my phone because the phone doesn't support AVI. I did get the Xvid encoder to work on the phone with MP4 container.
