iPhone 3GS vs BlackBerry Bold 9700 as a world phone

When traveling internationally, I prefer Nokia ( e71, n95, n86 etc ) but if my choice was restricted to the BB 9700 or iPhone, I'd take the BB! I personally carry the Nokia E71 when going overseas. It's an amazing, and perfectly reliable, device!!

AT&T and Nokia developer competition, $10M total in prizes

I wouldn't doubt that Nokia totally bends over for AT&T on this issue, just like S-E did. Big Blue is looking to jettison all the heavy data users on their network; they don't make any more money off of them than they would someone who consistently uses no more than 500MB-1GB and pays the $25...

    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

Just a couple of quick questions, this is my first Nokia in a long, long time, does the NAM N97 from their NAM Nokia site, ship with a car charger? If not, is there any real danger if I were to buy just some cheapy $5 one off ebay? I really don't want to fry a $700 toy lol. Thanks in advance...

Hot rumor: The Nokia N8 with Symbian^3

I see it as the start of QT for apps and a much more powerful hardware start level. QT apps for Symbian^3 will be easy to use on Symbian^4 while existing s60v5 apps will also work on Symbian^3 so no need to worry about if the developer will upgrade the app.

No Flashlite 3.1 support means no Flash 9 support either. It still packs Flashlite 3.0 meaning we're still stuck with flash 8 only :(

Hey, another question. How is the dpad? The n82 dpad is pretty bad to me. It's ok to use really quickly, but long session landscape browsing it starts to get annoying. So how is it for landscape browsing, and gaming for example? Comfortable and easy to use? Just ok? Terrible? Thanks.

For those who care: n97-NAM is made in China This guy on imphoreal bought his from NYC flagship and made a video of the back of the phone. You can see the "Made in China" label. http://www.imphoreal.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GhoaL_s9Pc

The most I heard was Ricky hearing from a member of the development team that the NAM would be available a few weeks after the "global" version. The N97 may be launching "globally" at the same time in regards to the Euro, Asian, and Middle East Markets...but the red headed step children that...

Cartoon All Stars To The Rescue, reviewed by the Nostalgic Critic. (Strong Language)

Where were the bad guys? Where was Galvatron with a ten foot joint, ordering Mikey there to get on his knees and do bong hits? Where was Shredder? He should have been there passing out syringes filled with black tar heroin. How about Cobra Commander? He and Destro should have been there...

Toon Zone Talkback - "Transformers Animated" Season One is "Teen Titans" for the Giant Robot Set

Missed seeing that review. And it's funny that fans still argue that "it's NOT 3 separate episodes". Entertainment Rights actually shops the show around as "26 x 22 minute [episodes] plus a 70 minute special episode" and both Hasbro and Cartoon Network number the premiere movie as episodes 1-3...

Danny Phantom, Jake Long and Juniper Lee

It's Juniper, not Jupiter. Fun trivia fact: the character's name refers to how the bark from a juniper tree was crafted into stakes to kill vampires, according to Old World legend.

    Countries with the best animation

I don't see that much more variety in mainstream Japanese animation than in American animation. Certainly no more love. You might not like them, but a lot of those comedy and superhero cartoons in America are made with as much love as the best anime out there. And looking at TV anime in recent...

Toon Zone Talkback - Animated Programming Emmy Nominations Revealed

Glad to see Hellboy get a nomination. Tad and the crew at Starz Media definitely deserved it (plus, it's always good to see a Toonami production get some love from the Emmy folks). However, I am kind of taken aback that it doesn't count as a Cartoon Network nomination, but rather Starz. As I...

If Simpsons eventually ends, will the franchise ever be rebooted?

In my opinion, The Simpsons is like Batman or Superman... The show and it's characters are burned into the fabric of pop culture and will always be around. In what form in the future remains to be seen...
