    Xperia X10 vs Nexus One

I've used the X10. Unfortunately, SE managed to take a good mobile OS and throw a wrench into it. What's there of Android is good, but everything SE does just makes it worse. Media and social networking apps that are too slow and don't show enough info; a keyboard that's unreliable and makes...

I think that's the problem when you announce a phone too early in development....the excitement subsides after awhile.

My iPhone is sold... Nexus One on its way....

Yes. Every person I know with the 3G or 3Gs complain about signal. I am in downtown Chicago and my other 3G phones work fine. Just the iPhone always jumps between EDGE and 3G. The other phones (Moto a3100, q9h and Milestone) will stay only on 3G. The crappy RF is my only real complaint...

Is Western Animation Ready For Gay Characters?

What's wrong with a show portraying real life and showing there're more diverse people out in the world? If kids see a gay character, who isn't a stereotype, that's "cool and awesome" maybe they'll grow up thinking it's not something weird and scary and learn that just because someone is...

    "Christmas-in-July" cartoons?

I don't know how much this counts, but in The Simpsons episode Papa's Got A Brand New Badge Springfield is going through a heat wave, so Homer decides to try and bring winter to his family by plugging in a dancing Santa Claus that sings "Jingle Bell Rock." The Santa proceeds to dance for a few...

You Don't Mess with the Zohan - The Animated Series

I just find it sad that Sandler is kind of backtracking his career. If you've seen Punch Drunk Love, then you know that he has the capacity to be a GREAT actor but he just doesn't seem to care.

Blog Talkback: Toons of the 2000s: Next Decade Speculation

I agree with you about Pixar, MI. I mean Pixar could certainly have a subpar-performing movie, but a bomb? I don't see it happening. I mean, they've gone over a decade with nothing but hits. That's outstanding.

Toon Zone Talkback - "Tom and Jerry Tales": Big Mouse-take, or Utter Cat-astrophe?

The problem is that everyone wants to try and reinvent the wheel. I mean, with TMNT, The Batman, and even Spectacular Spider-man are quite different from their predicessors, but they at least hold the same string. Plus with comic books, they change from writer to writer. But with animated...

Johnny Depp is "Rango" - ILM's first animated movie

Viacom does not own Dreamworks Animation, though. They only have the rights to distribute their films. Besides the animation is being produced by Industrial Light and Magic, a Lucasfilm Company, which is their first movie.

    help with a school assignment

i think it's only a matter of opinion that it's a 'dark age' of animation because of computer animated features...if you claimed that then you'd have to include all of pixar's work-and they have produced alot of great films...it would be a dark age if we had no animated projects at all for some...

Toon Zone Talkback - DIC Launches "KEWL Cartoons" Online Streaming Channel

Believe it or not, Prostars was a real program. It ran on NBC from September 14, 1991 to July 25, 1992. Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretsky appeared as themselves in live action segments, but in the animated segments they were voiced by Townsend Coleman (Wayne Gretsky), Dave Fennoy (Bo...

6 Insane Spin-offs of Animated Cartoons that almost got made

Many years ago, when Marv Wolfman and George Perez first worked on The New Teen Titans, the team confronted the JLA. Batman thought Robin would back down if he was told to do so. Robin replied, "You can't tell us what to do. We're not some Junior Justice league!" I find this rather funny...

When fairy tale good guys are portrayed negatively

There's Robot Santa in Futurama. Even though he's a robot as opposed to the genuine article, it's the same concept. Then you have the times where good historical figures have been played for laughs - Animaniacs had "Frontier Slappy" ("Daniel Boone was a big dumb jerk, yes, a stupid jerk...")...
