Did they fix the problem? I accidentally loaded the game with my network connected and noticed it when it told me my friends were logging in and out. So I tried multiplayer and it worked I've tried loading it with the network enabled every day and it just doesn't load. Now it suddenly works?

Droid 2 Global doesn't have GSM. It has 2100 UMTS as an option but much of its bands are CDMA. Instead, the phone you should be considering in its place would be the Milestone 2, which is practically the same thing but all GSM. I don't know if the Milestone 2 has a Canada version though...
