I wouldn`t.It will be bubbly and will not be worth doing.I would only apply stain with a brush.If you`re determined to spray,why not experiment on something you don`t care about messin up first and see how it does.I could be wrong,but I am answering by my experience.:)

I`d suggest changing the fluid and filter on the transmission.You can have it done or easily do it yourself.However,you must also replace the gaskets when you reapply the fluid pan.It is a messy and rather time consuming job,but it can be done in a couple hours if you have all the right tools...
