I'm not convinced it has been used to it's full potential at all on TV yet. I think digital coloring won't see true potential for many years, video technology itself really can't match the bright clarity of photo negatives yet.

I just don't find American Dad that enjoyable. I mean, sure it managed to separate itself from Family Guy and I like the storytelling ability, but humor wise...meh. Maybe other people have a similar story.

Sounds like the problem is in the headphone jack. There's a switch built in to the headphone jack which cuts sound to the external speaker when the phones are plugged in. This switch is probably getting stuck. You may want to attempt to clean the jack. I'm not what the best way to do that...

Hard Reset is actually holding down the power button whilst pressing the reset pin. You must then select yes. I would be suprised if a hard-reset didn't work.
