i dunno man, i'm finding the 5800 is just as fast as any other s60 device i've used. it installs apps particularly fast, loads the music library fast, etc. i think people are just bashing it because they didnt feel comfortable with it within the first 2 hours because they are used to Dpad...

How do they compare to Creative's MP3 players?

I have a Sandisk 8GB and have had no issues at all. I would be ware of the other brands as Ive heard that they can cause stability issues.

How about the slider? My slider is perfect when closed, or open. But with the multimedia keys exposed it has a slight play back and forth. I think it's because there is no spring putting pressure against it that way, but wondering how other sliders are?

I love my HD2.and poppro, you can customize the start bar just about any way you want. People say the reception id bad but it's not. It just doesn'tover exaggerate the signal like some phones. It might not show as many bars, but it works in all the fringe areas just as good as any other phone...
