I don't think MegaMind is a cliched villain to boot. For him he was only a villain out of circumstance and was simply using his villain-ness to express himself (a la an outlet).

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I heard people saying Mercier delivered his lines over the top and cheesy, but I didn't find that to be the case. The G-Virus creature homage was nice as the movie was a completely RE2 homage. All in all it was a good RE 4.5.
