I went into this episode with my expectations very low, and I have to say, it wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. Its not an episode I would recommend to anyone who isn't a TMNT fan, and it can easily be skipped, but some parts were ok. It did seem like a FF episode though.

I totally agree with you especially on these two films. While CG has brought us some weaker films-- Pixar has worked extremely hard to give us amazingly deep films that are well written and emotionally strong as well as extremely entertaining.
