Just copy the file to the phone and do the installation from the E71. I keep a copy on my SD card so I can easily install when I need to. If you want you can DM me your email address and I can send you the file I have for v2.9. Just make sure that you fully uninstall v3.x if you have it...

Exactly true. The novelty of the hardware features will eventually wear off and you'll realize you never use HDMI out or care about the fact that a phone provides Dolby Digital support, because those are useless features. I doubt many people spending $550 on a phone are going to depend on it...

The N97 and N97 Mini are last year's news. My recommendation is to go with the new C6. Its the same N97 Mini on a much cheaper price point---there is a huge difference in price between a C6 and the N97 Mini. Its not as expensively styled, but I much prefer the way the C6 is styled on the back...
