Oh, I know, don't get me started. I was really hoping the iPhone would be able to change people's understanding of buying a phone and activating it themselves (separating the carrier from the device), but all that went to hell when they launched the iPhone 3G with in-store only activations.

It depends on the studio and the production. The Simpsons cast has pushed for higher pay at least once. I've heard at least one of its dub casts has as well (Mexico?), but I'm not sure if they succeeded or just got fired. An American-made show for SATAM or cable's probably going to pay less...

Garfield and Friends is a great example of Quality intro Montages. (even the Seventh season had a good montage) Worst?... hard to think about... AH! The Super Mario Brothers Super Show had a terrible Montage in its Italian dub. Music sounded nothing like The Game.:shrug:

Being sponsered by a cigarette company doesn't immediately mean "FOR ADULTS". While you wouldn't see any children's shows being sponsered by those products today (Due to the amount of parental complaints, possibly lawsuits of companies trying to sell their products on children, laws, etc)...
